DCA Week

The Pharmacy organized DCA Week from 13th to 17th Feb, 2019. It helped students to enhance their technical knowledge and bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical learning in real life environment. The students of D.Pharma and B.Pharma participated in the event.

Program Outcomes

• Postgraduates will acquire adequate scientific information regarding basic principles of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal chemistry, Pharmaceutics including Cosmetology, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy. They will also have hands on training of practical aspects of Synthesis of APIs and its intermediates along with Formulation and Development, Analysis and Quality assurance of various pharmaceutical dosage forms including those of herbal origin as per standards of official books, WHO, and other regulatory agencies.

• Postgraduates will acquire excellent interpersonal oral communication and writing skills. Department Laboratories

• PHARMACEUTICS LABS
  • The objectives of these labs is to provide practical exposure to the budding pharmacists on Physical Pharmaceutics, Manufacturing Operations, Preformulation Screening Tests, Designing Evaluation and Pharmacokinetic study of solid, liquid, semisolid dosage forms including Novel Drug Delivery Systems like ocular, nasal, transungual, transmucosal, translabial, transnabhi, soft palatal drug delivery systems etc. which curtail the drug dose and minimizes the drug adverse reactions with excellent patient compliance.

• Linux Lab
  • The objectives of these labs is to provide practical exposure to the budding students about the Linux operating system and its role in day to day life. Also students get hands on experinece on how to install and configure the Linux operating system.

• Electrical Machines Lab
  • The primary objective of these labs is to provide practical exposure to students about electrical system.Emphasize the basic elements in electrical circuits, analyze circuits using network theorems, and illustrate single-phase AC circuits

• Mechanical LABS
  • Mechanical labs may also teach students the properties of engineering materials, and their testing procedures. These properties are useful for students in subjects like strength of materials and Basic Mechanical Engineering.

• Civil Engg Labs

  • The objective of a civil engineering lab is to study the geologic factors that affect the location, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of different civil engineering structures. Civil engineering labs also ensure the quality of construction materials and evaluate the structural integrity of infrastructure projects. These labs play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, durability, and sustainability of built environments.

• ECE Labs

  • The objective of an ECE Engineering lab is to teach students engineering skills through practical experience and to help them understand the theory of basic electronics. For example, at Punjab Engineering College, students learn to design and analyze electronic circuits, such as multivibrators, oscillators, and digital circuits. They also learn to simulate and test analog, digital, and mixed electronics circuits using Or CAD software.
